Below you will find answers to many common questions about Caterham School Giving Day.

What is Caterham School Giving Day?

Caterham School Giving Day is Caterham’s second-ever Giving Day.

 

It’s a 36-hour focused challenge to bring together pupils, staff, parents, Old Cats, former parents and former staff, both virtually and physically, to celebrate and fundraise in the spirit of all that is excellent and inspirational about Caterham School. 

How can I get involved?

- You can help us spread the word about our Giving Day online and amongst your friends.

- You can take part in a Giving Day challenge.

- You can make a gift and become a Giving Day donor.

What are we fundraising for?

We are raising funds to support Transformational Bursary places and to support the learning of children attending our partner schools. More details on the projects you can support can be found using the buttons at the bottom of this page.

Can I choose which area my donation supports?

Yes, when you make your donation, you can choose using the drop-down form. You can either give to the Transformational Bursaries Appeal or to our two partnership projects. If you would like to give to another area of the school, please contact us at development@caterhamschool.co.uk

How do you process my gift and what does it cost?

Debit or credit card gifts are processed via Stripe and their processing fees are as follows:

- Donations made via UK debit or credit cards are charged at 1.5% + 20p

- Donations made via European debit or credit cards are charged at 2.5% + 20p

- Donations made via non-European debit or credit cards are charged at 3.25% + 20p

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Caterham School can claim your tax back, so for every pound you donate we can claim an additional 25p at no cost to you. If you would like  Caterham School to treat your donation (and any other donations you may choose to make) as a Gift Aid donation, please tick the Gift Aid declaration box on the Donate page.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

No, we are grateful to all our donors for supporting our Giving Day in any way they can.

Can I see my gift on this website?

Yes. If you have not chosen to make your gift anonymous, you can look at the donor wall to see your name
